Impression jet d’encre sur vinyle, 48’’ x 60’’ (2021)

Following the renovation of my house, I installed a photograph on the wall of the shed facing the laneway. The photograph shows a negative image of my backyard which was obtained by a two-month exposure in a camera made out of an aluminum can. The negative was then digitized and printed in large format. Because no lens was used (the photograph was produced with a simple pinhole) the image is blurry, and the type of paper used does not reproduce colours as they appear in reality. The work seeks to enquire into the nature of photography, time and space, and especially to produce supplementary resonance in the laneway.

The work is located in the laneway between Lafond St. and 13th Ave. to the south of Ste-Bibiane school.
